Gene Shrewsbery Jr., 61, of San Fransisco, California, formerly of Toledo, Ohio, passed away November 23, 2024. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on March 17, 1963 to Gene and Gladys (McCarthy) Shrewsbery Sr. He graduated from Waite High School in 1981 where he played trumpet in the band under the direction of Sam Szor. Gene would later work in the food service industry for many years.

Gene is survived by his mother, Gladys Shrewsbery; daughter, Allison (Rodney); step-daughter, Sherrie (Eric); siblings, Marsha (Andy) Vasko, LuAnn Fox, Bill (Melissa) Shrewsbery; and lifelong friend, Michele (Winkle) Mackey. He was preceded in death by his father; son, Jordan Shrewsbery; and brother-in-law, Rick Fox.

The family will greet friends at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., Oregon, Ohio, 43616 on Saturday, February 15, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of Celebration of Life at 6:30 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in Gene's name may be directed to Make-A-Wish Foundation.
