Genevieve E. Short, 94, passed away on May 14, 2023 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born on May 2, 1929 in Genoa, Ohio to George and Catherine (Gill) Shiffert. Genevieve worked for Ken's Flower Shop for 24 years, retiring in 2007.

Genevieve is survived by her son, Paul (Linda) Spillis, daughter, Chris Holland; step-children, David, Sandi, and Larry; 16 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Jane Spillis; husband, Hubert Short; son-in-law, Bud Holland, and step-daughter, Sharon Short.

Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 19, 2023. Interment will be private at Ft. Meigs Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
