George L. Davenport, 49, of Elmore, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2009, in his home lovingly surrounded by his family. Mr. Davenport was born in Toledo on April 3, 1960, to George N. and Mary Sue (Ivey) Davenport. George was a US Army veteran. He was employed as assistant operations manager for Toledo Building Services for 15 years. To his friends George was an honest man and loyal friend with a quick smile and good humor. His love of music and beagle hounds were second only to "just being in the sun". He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Surviving are his wife, Sherrie A.; mother, Mary Sue; daughters, Julie Davenport, Kelly Davenport; brothers, Bill (Sue) and Mark (Suzette) Davenport; sister, Robin Colombaro. He was preceded in death by his father. Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, 1111 Woodville Road, Millbury, where visitation will be Tuesday, July 7th from 2 until 7 p.m. Memorial services will follow visitation starting at 7 p.m. Interment will be private.
