George E. Deem, 74, of Oregon, Ohio passed away in his residence on Wednesday, November 4, 2015. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on December 3, 1940 to John and Willah (Davis) Deem. George graduated from Waite High School and the University of Toledo before accepting a position as purchasing manager with Dura/Prestolite Battery. He enjoyed following Waite and U.T. athletics. Surviving are his children, John, Todd (Cindi), Tamara Deem and their mother, Diane; grandchildren, Leslie, Mary and Helaina; great-grandchild, Ruthie. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 8, 2015 from 1-7 pm at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, where funeral services will be conducted on Monday at 11:00 am. Private interment at Toledo Memorial Park will take place at a later date.
