George W. Kaiser, 80, of Northwood, passed away on November 3, 2016 at St. Luke's Hospital. He was born in Graytown, Ohio on June 19, 1936 to George and Elizabeth (Tomor) Kaiser. He served in the National Guard and went on to serve as a policeman and eventually the Chief of Police in several cities. George was also a volunteer fireman for over 10 years as well as a tornado watch guide. He was a member of the VFW and the NRA. George lived for fishing and goose hunting and never missed an opening day of duck season.
George is survived by his wife, Diane; children, Mark, Connie Sue Parman, Michelle Doughterty and Jodi Pugh; 10 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Cherie; grandson, Cody; brother, Roger; and sister, Barbara.
Friends may visit at the Calvary Lutheran Church, 1930 Bradner Road, Northwood, on Tuesday, November 8 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Those wishing an expression of sympathy in George's name are asked to consider a monetary donation, in lieu of flowers, to the Kaiser family. Arrangements are being handled by Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home.
