George W. Wagner II, of Oregon, Ohio, died Monday after a long courageous battle with Leukemia. George was born April 21, 1959, in Toledo, to Carolyn and George Wagner.
George loved life and always had an infectious smile on his face. He was loved and admired for his loving spirit, wonderful sense of humor, and unwavering commitment to his career, Masonry, friends and family.
One of George'™s greatest sources of pride was his involvement in Masonry. He was a District Deputy Grand Master for the 11th Masonic District; member and Past Master of Paragon Masonic Lodge; member of Oliver H. Perry Masonic Lodge;member and Past High Priest of Toledo - Port Lawrence Chapter; member and Past Illustrious Master of Vistula Council; member of Royal Arch Eighth District; member, President, and Honorary Past Commander of Eu Tah Commandery. Right Worshipful Brother George W. Wagner, II was so proud to belong to each and every one of these organizations.
George worked and was dedicated to, for 35 years, his employer, Fiske Brothers Refining Co. That dedication was given in return by his company and coworkers during his illness. Thank you to everyone at Fiske for caring about George from the very top of the organizational chart throughout the company.
George is survived, sadly missed by, and will always be loved by, his wife, Kim; daughters, Lisa A. Wagner (Lindsey Trace), Danielle M. Kazee(Timothy); Father, George W. Wagner (Tempas); sisters, Mary Sharp(Greg), Christine Rill (Eric); brother, Frank Wagner (Helena); step brothers, Daniel Zervas (Jacqueline), Michael Zervas (Heather); Special cousins he liked to call Aunt Jeanne and Uncle Eldon. Also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and aunts and uncles; and our special friends, Don Collins, Steve Poppe, Jim Matthews, Tim Everhardt, Rick Pierce, and Karl Thoma.
Preceeding George in death are, his mother Carolyn A. Wagner; Grandparents, Loretta and Frank Winker, Edith and Howard Wagner; step siblings, Derron Zervas, Robert Jones, and Terrie Byers; half brother, Steven Wagner.
Visitation will be at Eggleston, Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd, Oregon, OH 43616 this Thursday and Friday from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Masonic services will be held on Friday at 7:00 p.m. followed by a time of sharing. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Toledo, on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. and where family will greet friends beginning at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park. Those wishing an expression of sympathy in Georges name are asked to consider Pathways Memory Care Campaign at Browning Masonic Community or Fiske Brothers Charities.
