Gerald Apthorpe, 76, of Toledo, Ohio passed away February 4, 2011 in his home. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on September 2, 1934 to Wade and Ruth (Ludwig) Apthorpe. Jerry had been employed as produce manager at the former Gerrard'™s Food Store in Rossford. Surviving are his son, Gerald (Cindy) Apthorpe; daughter, Julie (Steven) King; 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Doris, daughter, Joanne Heuring, and sister, Janet Green. There will be no visitation. Graveside services and interment will take place in Lake Township Cemetery on Monday, February 7, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions can be made to the charity of the donor'™s choice.
