Gerald N. Bollinger, 73, of Whitesboro, TX and formerly of Toledo, OH passed away June 24, 2007 in Texas. He was born in Toledo, OH on October 26, 1933 to Lester and Maybelle (Regal) Bollinger. Gerald made his career in the U.S. Marine Corps as an aviation electronics specialist, serving for 21 years under President Kennedy and Johnson. He was a member of the New Day Tabernacle Church of God, where he was a Sunday school superintendent. Gerald also served as chaplain for the Gray Ghost Squadron and had a nursing home ministry. He loved the lord and his family and put others before himself.
Surviving are his wife, Martha, Whitesboro, TX; daughters, Dorothy Chitwood, Killeen, TX, Renee Ford, Toledo, OH and Caroline Wagner, Ft. Hood, TX; sons, Jerry of New Hampshire, Harold of Colorado Springs and Jimmy of Michigan; mother, Maybelle Bollinger; 2 brothers; 2 sisters; 25 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Saturday June 30, 2007 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Forest Cemetery. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Gerald's memory are asked to consider the family or St. Jude's Children Hospital.
I realize now, that what is done for the Lord is all that will count in the life to come.
