Obituary

Gerald J. Bookenberger, 77, of Millbury, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2005, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. He was born on August 25, 1927, in Perrysburg to Martin and Viola (Finch) Bookenberger. On April 25, 1947, he married Grace Meyer. Jerry had retired from LOF Plant 6, Rossford, in 1986 after 36 years of service. He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church and also a member of the Cooley Canal Yacht Club, Rossford Eagles and the Cullet Club of LOF. In his spare time, Jerry enjoyed woodworking and he also was an avid fisherman. In addition to his loving wife, Grace, Jerry is also survived by his children, Marcia (Richard) Butera, Gay (James) Keaton, Timothy (Lisa) Bookenberger; grandchildren, Amy Wolfe, Rick Butera II, James Keaton II, Randy Butera, Lisa Potter, Angie Meek, Jeffrey Keaton,, Amber and Lane Bookenberger; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Don Bookenberger, Lois Goodman, Doris Brinker, Howard Bookenberger, Ruth Carstensen, Patsy Baumgartner. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Dale, Martin, and sisters, Jane Cook, Lillian Johns. Visitation will be held Thursday from 2-9 p.m. at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road, Millbury. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. in Calvary Lutheran Church, 1930 Bradner Road, Northwood, where the family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Jerrys memory are asked to consider Calvary Lutheran Church.
