Gerald L. Bowers, 81, of Oregon, OH passed away May 3, 2005 in his home. He was born on March 22, 1924 to Samuel and Flossie (Seymour) Bowers. Gerald was employed by Owens Corning as a computer program analyst. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and enjoyed antiquing and was involved with drag racing. Gerald is survived by his children, Myron (Kim) Bowers, Yvette (Eric) Vandegrift, Tom, Michael (Beth) and Christine Rokicki; grandchildren, Myron Daniel, Glen Michael, Derek, Joshua, Kurt, Cheyanne, Evan, Leslie, Kellie, Erika, Kyle, Andrea, Claire and great grandchild, Cody. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Richard and Claude "Billy". Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road at Starr Ave. on Thursday, May 5, 2005 from 2-9 p.m. Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home on Friday at 9:30 a.m. and proceed to Holy Rosary Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Graveside services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the Haven Hill Cemetery, Olney, IL.
