Gerald Thayer, 91, of North Carolina passed assay August 6, 2014. He was born in Toledo on June 22, 1923 to Merl and Lillian (Upton) Thayer. Surviving are his son, Gerald (Nancy); daughter, Susan (Tom) Bodette and 5 grandchildren. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Virginia. Memorial services will be held on September 20, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in First St. Mark Lutheran Church. Memorials may be directed to Northside Community Church or the American Diabetes Association.
