GERALDINE E. "Geri" GULISH
Geraldine E. "Geri" Gulish, 52, of Curtice, Ohio passed away Saturday, November 22,
2003 at St. Charles-Mercy Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Geri was born
in Toledo, Ohio on August 15, 1951, the youngest of five children born to William P. and
Geraldine A. (Bednar) Gulish. Geri received her BA in accounting from the University of
Toledo. Currently Geri worked for the Meijer's in Northwood and previously had worked
alongside her father and Bob Kovesdi, at the family restaurant , The Gulish Villa, serving
the well known "Gulburg" and where ball room dancing was held. She was a member of
St. Ignatius Church. Geri had a love for animals, especially cats. Geri was the 21st
century Scarlet O'Hare, determined, strong and tough but on the inside she was just a
little girl. She was preceded in death by her parents and nephew, Raymond Moomey.
Geri is survived by her loving brothers and sisters; Dr. Eugene (Chris) Gulish MD,
William (Kathy) Gulish, Jacquelyn "Susie" (Dale) Busch, Laraine (Gary) Meinke;
Godmother and aunt to Sarah, Aaron, Michelle, Erin, Laurel; loving nieces and nephews,
Heather, Christopher, Jessie, William III, Christine, Dale Jr., Connie, Tonya, Vernon,
Andy. Also surviving are, aunt, Margaret Gulish, many cousins, great nieces and
nephews, making Geri a "GREAT AUNT".
Also left to cherish Geri's memories are her friends and co-workers at Meijer's and the
"Gulish Villa Gang".
Visitation will be held Monday from 2-9 p.m. at the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral
Home Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, Ohio. Funeral services will be
conducted on Tuesday at 11:00 am in St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Yondota and Seaman
Roads where the family will greet friends one-hour prior. Interment will follow in
Oakwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions made to the donor's choice.
