Geraldine L. Shoemaker, 74, of East Toledo, passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2004, at St. Charles Mercy Hospital. Jerry was born in Akron, Ohio on January 27, 1930, to Carl and Dorothy (Clemons) Fryman. She married Donald Shoemaker who preceded her in death on July 17, 1985. Jerry was an LPN at the former Riverside Hospital from 1960 until her retirement in 1985. She was a member of First St. John Lutheran Church and also a member of the Yondota Eastern Star, Dendarah Court, LOSAN, German Retirees, Swiss Ladies, East Toledo Senior Citizens, East Toledo Club and the Riverside Pastimers Surviving are her children, Scott (Carol), Craig (Pam), Jay (Diana) and Kurt Shoemaker; brother, Jack (Betty)Fryman; grandchildren, Jay, Ryan, Brianne, Courtney, Nicole, Bradley, Hannah, Anthony, Melissa and Josh. Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, OH, on Thursday from 2-9 p.m., and where Yondota O.E.S. Services will be held at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 11:00 with interment to follow in Restlawn Memorial Park.
