Geraldine Ann 'œGerry' Whitehead, 82, formerly of Toledo, OH passed away on December 18, 2013 at the Regency Medical Center of San Jose. Commonly called Gerry, she had been a resident of Germany and Oklahoma. She worked at Libbey Glass in Toledo, Ohio for 20-years, retiring and moving back to Oklahoma and later making it to San Jose, California to reside with her daughters. She was best known for her long detailed stories, feisty spirit and not afraid to tell you how she feels. She will be missed more than she could ever have imagined. She is survived by her children Thomas A. Sharkey, Deborah A. Rameriz (Sharkey), Denise R. Lobato (Sharkey), Diane L. Bramlett (Sharkey), Delores (James) Harmon (Sharkey), Terry (Robin) Sharkey and her 16-grandchildren and 20-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her mother Helen J. Thoman (Braatz/Shinavar), husbands, Thomas R. Whitehead and Thomas G. Sharkey, brother William Braatz, sister Doris McKinley and daughter-in-law Debra J. Sharkey (Fuquea). Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., on Friday, December 27, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with interment following at Restlawn Memorial Park.
