Gertrude "Trudy" Koepke, 81, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, February 15, 2005. She was born in Milwaukee, WI, to Alfred and Etta (Hall) Woit on November 25, 1923. She worked in data entry for Prestolite and as a sales clerk at Elder Beerman, retiring in 1993. Trudy enjoyed her monthly luncheons with both her Scott High School friends and her former co- workers.
Surviving are her daughter, Debra Nash (Skolmowski); grandchildren, Rachel Skolmowski, Aaron (Gina) Skolmowski, Emily (Jason) Wineland; great-grandson, Cayden Wineland; sisters, Margie (Tony) Parasiliti and Ethyle Lalendorf, and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband, Elmer.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 18, 2005, from 2 to 9 p.m. in the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., Oregon, Ohio. A memorial service will be conducted during visitation at 7:00 p.m. Contributions in Trudy's name can be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Colon Cancer Research Fund or M.A.D.D.
Our Grandma, Trudy, was suddenly and tragically taken from us before we were ready to let her go. Her beauty and class were noted by all she met and her generosity was without bounds. We will miss her with all our hearts and cherish the countless memories she leaves behind.
