Gilbert M. Ramirez, 85, of Genoa, Ohio passed away on April 24, 2017 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. He was born on March 16, 1932 to Gilbert and Inez (Martinez) Ramirez. Gilbert is a US Air Force Veteran and went on to work as a press operator for 38 years at Jeep before retiring in 2001. Gilbert loved traveling and spending time with his family. He was a member of S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Gilbert is survived by children, Raul L. (Maryanne) Rendon, Jr., Vickey S. (Jorge) Lopez, Sally A. Ramirez, Sylvia (Dan) Yeager, Rickey (Irma) Ramirez, Timmy G. Ramirez; siblings, Paul Ramirez, Robert (Mary) Ramirez, Carmen Garcia, Basilio Ramirez, Joe Ramirez, Nieves (Edward) Rangel, Jane Costillo; 18 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lupe; brother, Sam Ramirez; sister, Linda Martinez; granddaughter, Veronica Lopez; grandson, Manuel Otero. Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Rd., on Sunday, April 30, 2017 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Clay Township Cemetery.
