Glen Skiles, age 68, of Curtice, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 1, 2018. He was born in Oregon, Ohio on December 18, 1949. Glen was a proud Vietnam Veteran earning the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Army Commendation Medal. Glen worked for twenty five years for the city of Toledo as a sanitary engineer; he took pride in his antique collection and his Indian and eagle collections.
Glen was preceded in death by his mother, Opal and father Burl; sisters, Opal and Anna; brother, Louis. He is survived by his two sons, Jeremy and Andre Skiles; granddaughter, Sophia; sisters, Estella (John) Foster, Shirley (John) Sullivan, Jean (Jim) Blachowski; brothers, Burl (Lucy) Skiles and Clifford (Casandra) Skiles and 132 nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Sunday, May 6, 2018 from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Monday beginning at 1:00 pm. Interment will take place in Dayton National Cemetery on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at 1:30 pm.
