Glenda L. (Cousino) Strahl, age 76 years, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 27, 2009, surrounded by her loved ones at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on November 25, 1933, to Donald P. and Mary A. (Forbes) Cousino who preceded her in death. A 1951 graduate of Clay High School, she worked in the offices of the former Lion Store in 1951, at Toledo Edison from 1952 -1953, and retired from National City Bank in 1995 following 28 years of service. She married Dennis F. Strahl on June 12, 1953 and enjoyed 56 years of marriage. For the last 15 years, they spent winters in Florida where she met many wonderful friends and created many happy memories. She had numerous long-lasting friendships and celebrated many memorable times with family, friends, and the 1951 Bunco Club Girls. She loved to cook and bake and was very good at both, impressing her friends and family with her creations. Other hobbies included oil painting, crocheting, and playing cards. Her true passion was her love and devotion to family and spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. She was a past member of Euclid United Methodist Church and most recently attended Hope Community Church of the Nazarene in Oregon, Ohio. Surviving is her loving husband of 56 years, Dennis; children, Denna Gerrard (Larry Vasko) of Swanton, Scott (Lynne) of Walbridge, Marae Kamine of Lima, Craig (Tammy) of Martin, and Ronda Lafferty of Walbridge; grandchildren, Nathan and Joel Gerrard, Steven, Lynsey, Garret, and Mitchel Kamine, Nicholas Strahl, Keegan Lafferty, Mackenzie Resor (Mike), Kyle and Erik Vasko, and great-grandchild Mika Resor. Also surviving are her brothers, Donald F. (Carmen) Cousino of Lake Wales, Florida and Denes J. (Joanne) Cousino of Frostproof, Florida; and lifelong friends, Glen and Dorothy Archambo. Family and friends may visit at Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road at Starr Ave., on Wednesday, December 30th from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, December 31st at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home with interment to follow at N. Oregon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hope Community Church of the Nazarene Kid's Factory or Hospice of Northwest Ohio. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Dr. and Mrs. Joses Yuan for their love, compassion, and guidance.
