GLENN A. CHAMPION
Glenn A. Champion, 85 of Oregon, Ohio passed away Saturday, November 22, 2003 at St. Charles-Mercy
Hospital. For the past 5 years Glenn had lived at the Lutheran Home of Toledo. He was born on November 25,
1917 in Toledo, Ohio to Monty and Olive (Scott) Champion who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in
death was his loving wife Wilma "Sis" Champion. Glenn was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving his country during
WWII. He retired from Walt's Auto Glass in 1983 after 24 years of service then went to work for Oregon Board
of Education working at Coy School for 12 years. Glenn was an avid golfer and also loved to sing and dance,
which he was excellent at both.
Surviving are his children, Glenda Jo Sharlow, Vernon Dale (Nancy) Champion, 7 grandchildren and 18 great
grandchildren.
Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy
Road, Oregon, OH on Monday from 3-9 p.m. where funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am. on Tuesday.
Interment will be private. Contributions in Glenn's memory can be made to Alzheimer's Association.
