Glenn R. Large, 76, of Oregon, Ohio passed away Thursday, May 22, 2003 in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. He was born November 5, 1926 in Toledo, Ohio to Francis and Elsie(Shumaker) Large. Glenn was employed by Gulf Oil as a truck driver for 33 years, retiring in 1982. He was a veteran of the US Army where he served during World War II. Glenn enjoyed golfing, sports, and was a big fan of the Atlanta Braves. Glenn is survived by his wife, Rita (Hastings); daughter, Denise A. Large, Toledo, OH; sister, Dorothy Compton, Rossford, OH and brother, Charles Large of Point Place. He was preceded in death by his parents. There will be no visitation. Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday, May 27, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. in North Oregon Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Glenn's honor may be made to the American Heart Association.
