Gloria C. Rodriguez,86, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on March 25, 2024. She was born in La Feria, TX on February 9, 1938 to Amado and Olivia (Cantu) Canales. She was a member of St. Thomas Acquinas Church and worked at LaSalles and Elder Beerman for many years before retiring. Gloria loved gardening and was always outside feeding birds and squirrels. She especially loved autumn colors. Gloria and her husband Santos were always going on adventures and enjoyed camping, traveling and going on vacations and cruises. They were snowbirds in Texas and had a time share in Puerto Vallarta. Aside from traveling, Gloria and Sam could be found dancing at weddings, festivals and Luna Pier. Gloria was constantly cooking in the kitchen and was always feeding her family.

She is survived by her children, Nilda (Mike) Rodriguez-Miller, Richard Rodriguez , Michael (Lisa) Rodriguez, and; grandchildren, Nicole, Asilia and Trisston Rodriguez; and siblings, Dora (Fred) Rodriguez and Bobby Canales. She was preceded in death by her husband, Santos; parents; siblings, Mary Martinez, Homer Canales and Benny Canales; and granddaughter, Alanna Rodriguez.

Visitation will be held at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Monday April 1 from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. There will also be visitation on Tuesday, April 2 at St. Thomas Acquinas Parish, 729 White Street, Toledo Ohio 43605 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park.
