Gloria D. Romano, 80, of Oregon, Ohio passed away October 24, 2011 peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. She is the daughter of Roy and Evelyn (Avery) Gaeth whom preceded her in death. Gloria was a graduate of Woodward High School. She is a member of First St. John Lutheran Church where she served on the Altar Guild and a member of Mercy St. Charles Auxiliary. She worked in the catering business for Oregon Banquet Room and she volunteered for 20 years at Mercy St. Charles Hospital in the mail room. Gloria was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother whose family meant everything to her. Her greatest pride and joy was the countless hours spent with her grandchildren. Gloria enjoyed baking cookies and decorating cakes, working crossword puzzles, and crocheting. Surviving are her sons, Dennis of McDonald, PA, Nicholas Jr. (Theresa) of Oregon, Scot (Deborah) of Curtice and daughter, Betsy (Kenneth) Rossler of Curtice; grandchildren, Sarah, Katie (Derek), Allison, Stephanie, Andrea, Danae, Derek, Jamie, Laura; step-grandchildren, Stacey and Alysia (Fasi); step-great grandchildren, Tristin, Tupou, Mele, Mikey; nieces, Sherry (Hal) Gillespie, Jayne (Jon) Berger; nephew, Skip White; dear friend, Tillie Sofalvi. Gloria was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Nicholas; sister, Beverly Becker and niece, Carol Jean White. To honor Gloria'™s wishes, services will be private and handled by Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home. The family extends great appreciation to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, especially, Jessica, Aubrey and Lee Ann.
