Grace H. Bookenberger, 91, of Millbury, Ohio, passed away Friday, February 9, 2018 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. Grace was born in Oak Harbor, Ohio on November 11, 1926 to Carl and Della Meyer. She graduated from Oak Harbor High School in 1944 and was employed by Foodtown for 21 years before retiring in 1989. Grace was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, participating in the bible study group, Kitchen Committee, Banner Committee, Nominating Committee. She was also a member of the Designing Women, Golden Gang, Red Hatters, UFCW Union Local #911 and the board of elections. Grace is survived by her children, Marcia (Richard) Butera, Timothy (Lisa) Bookenberger and Gay (James) Keaton; siblings, sister-in-law, Mary Lou Meyer; 9 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Bookenberger; parents; and siblings, Corinne Wood, Richard Meyer and Lila Bracket. The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road (east of I-280) on Monday, February 12, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Tuesday, February 13 at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park.
