Grace L. Peiffer, 83, of Genoa, passed away Monday, December 26, 2011 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. She was born on September 16, 1928 in Fremont, Ohio to Rudolph and Mary (Wasserman) Darr. Grace was a graduate of St. Joseph High School. On February 26, 1949, she married Robert Peiffer of Genoa at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Fremont. They moved to a farm in Woodville and lived there for 56 years. Robert and Grace were married for 61 years when he preceded her in death December 30, 2010. Grace is survived by her children; Karen (Al) Rerko, Robert (Cheryl) Peiffer Jr., Leo (Phyllis) Peiffer, Colleen (Branch) Colvin, and Paul (Carol) Peiffer; 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; sisters, Roselyn (Gerard) Shondell, Mary (Robert) Chudzinski, and Janet Magrum; brothers, William (Agnes) Darr, and Wayne (Suzanne) Darr. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a grandson; sisters, Dorothy Darr, Sylvia Celek and Celine Novitski, and brother, John Darr. Friends may call at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 300 Warner Street, Walbridge on Friday, December 30th from 10:00 am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am. Memorials may be directed to St. Jerome Catholic Church or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
