Gregory A. Costello, 50, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2007 after he lost his battle to cancer. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on May 10, 1956. Greg graduated from Lake High School in 1974 and served in the U.S. Marine Corp. For the past 30 years, he has worked as an independent roofing contractor. Greg enjoyed rooting for the Buckeyes, fishing, while throwing back a cold one with friends, and spoiling his granddaughter.
Surviving are his faithful wife of 26 years, Cha (Carlene) Costello; son, Gregory A. Costello Jr. of Ohio; daughter, Jamie Costello and granddaughter, Sam (Samantha Elizabeth) Griffin of FL, who was the apple of Greg's eye; mother and step-father, Lu and Melvin Hall of Ohio; sisters, Cynthia (Jim) Haide of Ireland, Carol (Paul) Franks of MI and Kimberly Baker of Ohio; brothers, Tony (Deb) Costello, Joseph Jr. (Darlene) Costello of Ohio, David (Deb) Costello of TX and many nieces and nephews. Greg was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Costello Sr.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2007 at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Pam Brater will officiate. Interment will be in Lake Township Cemetery on a date to be announced. Pall bearers will be life-long friends; Jumper (Mark) Collins, Novis (Paul) Nowak, Bill Binting, Dan Schwamberger, Dan Scarberry and Ernie Alonzo.
