Haldon S. Engler, 98, formerly of Cyril Street, East Toledo, passed away Friday, May 14, 2004, at Lake Park Nursing Center. Haldon was born May 28, 1905, in Fremont, Ohio, to Sardis W. and Pearl M. (Johns) Engler. He married Jolan L. (Fortuna) who preceded him in death in 1996. Also preceding him in death are his daughter, Patricia Baumgartner, and his sister, Gladys Gerbich. Prior to retiring Haldon was a painter working for National Bank Building. He was a member of the local and national painters union. Surviving are his daughter, Georgia Dove; son, James Engler; son-in-law, Charles Baumgartner; grandchildren, Janine (Dreafus) Woods, James (Kathy) Preston, Dr. Jon (Kelly) Dove, Charles (Judy) Baumgartner, Robert (Kari) Baumgartner, Cynthia Baumgartner, 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, OH, on Monday from 10 a.m. until time of funeral services at 1 p.m. Interment followed in Lake Township Cemetery. Visitation: Visitation Times 11 am - 1 pm Monda Coy Road Chapel
