Obituary

Our Dear Husband, Father, Grandfather lost his 4 year Battle with Cancer and Alzhiemers. He passed away peacefully 11/23/2011 surrounded by his loving family. Was born 1/22/1938 to Wellington Coutcher and Doris Harris, at home on Jessie St, in Ironville. He worked as a painter as a member of the Union. Then he found his lifelong career as a Boilermaker 1968 until he retired in 2007. He was very proud to be a Member of The Brotherhood of Boilermakers Local 85 where he held many positions. He was known for his excellent work ethic. He taught welding in the Apprenticeship From 1989-2007 and before. He taught many years even into retirement. He was very eager to share his knowledge of the trade. And influenced the way it developed. He loved boating and fishing, which led him to be a Member of Harborview and Ottawa River Yacht Clubs. He received the Good Samaritan Award for saving the life of a 7 yr old drowning victim. Without hesitation he helped pull her out of the water and administered CPR . He Loved Playing cards especially Cribbage with his wife and Euchure with his family and friends. He also loved going up north to MI to spend time with his family. He is survived by His Loving Wife of 38 yrs Georgia Ann (Redd) Coutcher. His daughters Cindy Ferree, Sue (Jack) Kidd, Dawn (Mike) Dilgard, Connie (Dan) Webster, Kelly (David) Curns, Candy Coutcher. And especially 25 grandchildren and 25 Great Grandchildren He is also survived by Brothers Olin (Barb) , Ralph (Patty) Cyril (Paula), Lenny (Michelle), Ron(Jeanne; Sisters, Patricia (Roy) McCallister, Inez (Randy) Carter, Cheryl (Dwight) Sawyer. He is preceded in Death by his Children Judy Johnson, Mark (Tony) Coutcher, Venus Coutcher. Grandchildren DEE DEA and Heavenly; sister Arvilla Mercurio. Visitation will be held at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road and funeral services are pending.
