Harley Laws, Jr., 93, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully with his family at home Thursday, September 23, 2021. Mr. Laws was born November 18, 1927 in Toledo, Ohio and raised by his parents, Walter and Ethel (Sybert) Oberdorf. He proudly served in the United States Army with the occupational forces in Germany. Harley worked with Haughton Elevator and retired as a business agent with Teamsters Local 20. He enjoyed playing cards, traveling and spending time with his family and his many pets, including his newest dog, Ruby.
Harley is survived by his children, Harley (Cindy) Laws and Nancy Rowe; step-children, Greg (Amber) Emch and Carin (Bob) Grobolsek grandchildren, Kristy (Edwin) Spackey, Harley (Sarah) Laws IV, Keith (Ann) Laws, Keenan (Erin) Laws, Josh (Holly) Rowe, Jake Rowe (Rashell), Joseph Rowe, Nikki (Kyle) Groesbeck, Heidi (Daniel) Sanchez, and Jason (Amy) Cobb; many great-grandchildren; siblings, Larry (Nancy) Oberdorf, Nancy Spahr, and Betty Liggett; along with many nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends. Preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Stacey Hendershot; wives, Elfriede and Mary; granddaughter, Julie Laws; son-in-law, Joe Rowe; and brother, Bob Oberdorf.
The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road Sunday, September 26, 2021 from 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm. Funeral services will be Monday, September 27, 2021 at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Interment: Willow Cemetery. Memorials may be directed in the form of contributions to a charity of the donor's choice.
