Harold J. Brucker, 73 of east Toledo, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Orchard Villa Nursing and Rehab with his loving wife by his side. Harold was born in Toledo, Ohio on August 15, 1942 to Martin and Margaret (Bullimore). He attended Macomber High School before joining US Navy serving from 1960 -1967 during the Viet Nam War. He retired from Matlack Trucking after 28 years. After retiring he worked for Meinke Marina as a "Jack of all trades".
Harold enjoyed quarter midget racing when his children were young. He also was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed winters in Bonita Springs, Florida.
Surviving are his wife, Christine S.; sons, Jeff (Wendy) and Harold; daughters, Kathryn (Scott) Joshua and Lynn Smith; stepchildren, Terry, Branty, Carol Schlegel, Brenda (Dan) Dorfmeyer, many grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Edward.
Visitation will be held at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Tuesday from 2-8 pm and where is funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.
