Harold A. Herman
Harold A. Herman, 82, of Bono, OH passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2003 at his home.
He was born in Bono on July 27, 1920 to the late Charles and Eva (Tank) Herman. Harold was a US Army Veteran of World War II and spent his entire life farming. He also was employed by the Sun Oil Company for 40 years in the maintenance department and the instrument shop, retiring in 1980. He was a member of the VFW #2510, American Legion #217 in Sidney, OH and had been inducted into the Clay High School Hall of Fame for football, basketball and baseball.
Harold is survived by his wife, Virginia; children, Deanna (Carl) Restemayer, Rosemary (Richard) Brim, Deborah Twynham and Paul (Terry) Herman; grandchildren, Barbara (Rob) Pennington, Gary (Vickie) Perry, Charles Herman, John (Julie) Herman; great-grandchildren, Michelle and Hilary Pennington; special friend, Jan Buschmann. He also was preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Jean Herman and grandson Mark Perry.
Visitation will be held at the Eggleston-Meinert Funeral Home Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon on Thursday from 2-9 p.m. with VFW services at 7 p.m.. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Williston Cemetery.
