Obituary

Harold E. Momenee, only son of Cleo and Florence (Klotz) Momenee, passed away June 8, 2017 at Mercy St. Anne's Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Virginia I. Hoeft. A native Toledoan, and a member of two old east Toledo families, he was born June 9, 1928. He lived many years on the east side prior to his residing at West Park Place. He was a graduate of Macomber High School and the University of Toledo where he received his BBA degree in 1961. Mr. Momenee spent 26 years with Owens Illinois, Inc. as an accountant, retiring in 1983. He was previously associated with General Electric Supply Corp. His post retirement years included his love of travel, especially his trips to Europe, gardening and study of music. He was a volunteer for numerous organizations and valued his association with the Valentine Theater. His memberships included the Corda Club, Owens-Illinois Golden Emblem Club and Sacred Heart Church. Harold is survived by his nephews, Dr. Allen Hoeft and Ronald (Vickie) Hoeft; great-nephew, Chad Hoeft; great nieces, Holly (Jeff) O'Donnell, , Robin (Joe) Abbruzzese and Amanda (Levi) Goodin The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Our Lady Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Cathedral, 2535 Collingwood Blvd., Toledo, Ohio from 12:00 pm until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park. Mr. Momenee's family suggests memorials in his name be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
