Herald P. Strayer, 84, of Oregon, OH passed away June 25, 2004 in his home. He was born in Maumee, OH on February 8, 1920 to the late Peter and Josephine (Gerig) Strayer. He was employed at Libby Owens Ford for 30 years retiring in 1983. Herald was a member Bethel Assembly of God, Perrysburg. Herald is survived by his wife, Jessie; children, Larry Strayer of Winterhaven, FL and Judith (Robert) Hess of Oregon, OH; sister, Beulah "Bea" (Richard) Kenyon of Glendale, AZ; brothers, James (Elizabeth) Strayer of Live Oak, FL and John (Vera) Strayer of Lakeland, FL; 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He also was preceded in death by his first wife, Opal Frankforther in 1984. Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tueday, June 29, 2004 in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Arrangements by the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Coy Road Chapel. Those wishing to make expressions of sympathy in Herald's name are asked to consider Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg.
