Harriet L. Kessler, née Anway, 95, of Waterville, Ohio, passed away on June 6, 2024, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. She was born on August 20, 1928 to Harry and Mary Louise (Rickenbaugh) Anway. She married her loving husband, Eugene Kessler, in 1949; they enjoyed a wonderful lifetime together for 65 years until the time of his passing in 2015.

She worked at various accounting firms over the years before enjoying retirement. She was an avid golfer at Chippewa Golf Course as well as various courses in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Harriet was an Ohio State Buckeye fan and was also masterful at needlework, enjoyed gardening, and an occasional game of Euchre.

Harriet is survived by her children, Sandra (Richard) Widders and Sharon (Richard) Reucher; grandchildren, Matthew (Kelly Ann) Widders, Kelly (James) Brennan, Lisa (Brian) Craig, and Alexandra Reucher Willibey; great-grandchildren, Lena, Avery, and Elise Widders; William and Anna Brennan; Jake and Max Craig; Brooklynn and Harrison Reucher. Additionally, Harriet is survived by siblings Kathryn Berlekamp and John (Marge) Anway.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene; parents, Harry and Mary Louise Anway; brother-in-law, Rodney Berlekamp; sister-in-law, Sandra Anway; and grandson, Ricky Reucher.

Visitation will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 104 W. Broadway Street, Maumee, Ohio 43537 on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Farewell Retreat Cemetery in Republic, Ohio.
