Harry Peterson Jr., 87, of Oregon, Ohio and formerly of South Carolina passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Arbors of Sylvania. He was born in Toledo on April 5, 1929 to Harry and Pearl (Reinbolt) Peterson. Harry attended Whitmer High School, was an Army Veteran and was baptized at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Harry lived in South Carolina for the past 25 years and had recently moved back home with his sister, Sally. Surviving are his sisters, Mary Janney and Sally Bucklew; many loving nieces and nephews; and special nephew, Kyle. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gus; and sisters, Margaret and Helen. Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. on Monday, January 16, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be directed to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
