Obituary

Hazel Warrington, 91 of Oregon, passed away Friday, March 25, 2005 at Lutheran Home at Toledo. Hazel was born in Toledo on July 15, 1913 to Henry and Lena (Haerer) Wirwahn. She was a graduate of Waite High School and Davis Business College. Hazel was a secretary for Libbey Owens Ford for several years. She was a long-time member of St. Mark Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Womens's League. While her children were in school Hazel was a member of the Clay High School Band Parents, Clay Elementary Mothers Club. She was truly devoted to her family as a loving wife and mother who was very proud of the accomplishments of her husband and sons. She enjoyed spectator sports and was a big U of M football fan. Among her hobbies were music, visits to the library and being an avid reader. She is survived by her loving family; husband, John L.; sons, Steven J. (Kathleen), Thomas J. Warrington. Also survivng are many nieces and nephews being especially close to neice, Virginia and great neice, Linda.. Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Robert, George, Russell Wirwahn, sisters, Cora Stump, Ruth Gumb, Edith Pund. Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon on Tuesday from 2-5 & 7-9 pm. and where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Hazel's memory are asked to consider St. Mark Lutheran Church or to the Lutheran Home at Toledo.
