Helen (Horvath) Johns, 95, of Harbor Point Rd., Rossford passed away Thursday, November 17, 2005 in Orchard Villa. She was born to John and Mary (Barat) Horvath in Oregon, OH on October 18, 1910. Helen was married to Glen L. Johns on November 27, 1944 in St. Ignatius Church, Oregon, OH. Mr. Johns preceded her in death in 1988. She was a 1930 graduate of Waite High School. Helen worked at the Electric Auto-Lite from 1933 to 1943, and during World War II worked in the Aircraft department of Willys Overland. She was an avid gardener who enjoyed enhancing the natural beauty of her riverside home with carefully tended plantings. Surviving are her sister, Mary Tobak; nephew, Andy Horvath, and several other nieces and nephews. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, 7 brothers and 3 sisters. Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Monday from 2-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be in Fort Meigs Cemetery.
