Helen Mae (Skiles) Klaniecki, 88, of Oregon, OH died early Friday morning, August 25, 2006, in St. Charles Mercy Hospital. She was born in Curtice, OH on May 22, 1918, to Frank and Anna Mae (Beck) Skiles as the seventh of eight children. Helen married the love of her life, Stanley "Hank" Klaniecki, on March 28, 1935, and they enjoyed 65 wonderful years together. He preceded her in death in 1998 and she mourned him daily. Hank and Helen loved to socialize with family and friends, and were active in area coin clubs and shows. Helen is still fondly remembered by staff and customers at St. Charles Hospital cafeteria, where she worked for many years dispensing food, smiles and advice. Surviving are her daughters, Janice Ann Evanoff of Austin, TX and Patricia Mae (Morris) Hunt of Sylvania, OH; son, Stanley (Linda) Klaniecki, of Milton, FL and sister-in-law, Tresa Skiles; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and many dear friends. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Mable (Hugh) Swartz, Jessee (Ralph) Beck and Beulah (Ellsworth) Scott; brothers, Clifford, Burl "Bud", William and Richard and grandsons, Stanley A. Klaniecki II and Charles Cassell. Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. on Monday from 2 -9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 1 p.m. with interment following in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
