Helen Louise Kovar, 73, of East Toledo, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, February 26, 2005, in her residence. Helen was born in Toledo on April 1, 1931, to Steve and Helen (Domonkos) Csabia. On November 13, 1948, she married George E. Kovar. Helen and her husband were movie buffs, going to the Maumee Theater almost daily. Her real love was being a wife, mom and grandmother.
In addition to her husband, George, she is survived by children, Lynn (George) Van Doren, Debbie Kovar; sister, Mary Ann (Alexander) Schiavone; grandchildren, Jason, Christopher, Jeremy (Jessica Spafford), Matthew. Helen was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Pamela.
Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road at Starr Ave., on Monday from 2-9 p.m. and where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in North Oregon Cemetery. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Helens memory can be made to the Sisters of Notre Dame.
