Helen Inez Shellhammer, 84, of Coldwater, MI and Bradenton, FL, and formerly of Toledo, OH passed away February 21, 2005 in Woods of Manatee Springs, Bradenton, FL. She was born on May 14, 1920 in Toledo, OH to William F. and Nellie (Shovar) Schutt. Helen was a 50 yr. member of Yondota Chapter #317, loved to play bingo and was an avid reader and crossword puzzle worker.
Surviving Helen are her children, Robert Shellhammer Jr., Thomas (Pam) Shellhammer, Marcia Krieg, Jeannine (Jack) Hardy, Patricia (John) Spears, Steven Shellhammer; 15 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and many great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Shellhammer, Sr.; grandchildren, Johnny Shellhammer, Belinda Krieg and Joseph Shellhammer; son-in-law, Larry Krieg and daughters-in-law, Edith Shellhammer and Mary P. Shellhammer.
Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. on Thursday from 5-9 pm with O.E.S. services at 8 pm and Friday from 2-9 pm. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with interment following in Toledo Memorial Park. Expressions of sympathy in Helen's name may be sent to the American Cancer Society.
