Helen M. Zak, 86 of Oregon, Ohio passed away August 30, 2004 in St. Charles/Mercy Hospital. Helen was born on December 24, 1917 in United, Pennsylvania to George and Theresa (Godfried) Strick. She was a member of St. Stephen's Church, The Altar Rosary Society and T he Hungarian Club. Helen was a life-long member of the Birmingham community. She worked at Tiedtke's and retired from Foodtown in 1982. Helen was a very devoted and loving mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed. Surviving are her sons, Richard, Robert (Jenny) and Raymond(Dova); grandchildren, Richard (Katrina), Garry, Katelyn Zak and Jacquelin Zak; great-grandsons, Ethan and Oliver and many nieces and nephews. Helen was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph; son, Randall; brothers, George, Stephen and Joseph Strick ; sisters, Margaret Vass and Anne Zuber. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September, 1, 2004 from 2 to 9 pm with a Rosary Recital at 4 pm in the Kinsey Funeral Home, Birmingham Chapel, 2001 Consaul St., Toledo, OH. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Thursday at 9:45 am and proceed to St. Stephen's Church for 10 am Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
