Henry W. Honaker Jr, 98, of Woodville, Ohio passed away on Friday, December 1, 2023. He was born in Pilgrim Knob, Virginia on October 16, 1925 to Henry and Mary (Mullins) Honaker Sr. Henry proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. He was a Chief Petty Officer on the USS Towner. He worked for the Tennessee Valley Authority as a young man, then as a millwright for Local 1393 for many years before retiring. He was a life member of the Masonic Lodge. Henry enjoyed working on engines and tinkering on anything he could get his hands on. He also had a passion for classic cars, especially Fords. He also raced stock cars at Bristol International Speedway. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
Henry is survived by his daughters, Karen (Richard) Watson, Bonnie A. Honaker; sons, William H. (Victoria) Honaker, David N. (Nancy) Honaker; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; siblings, Ray Honaker, Virginia Rife; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Bonnie Louise; grandson, Steven Warns; siblings, Nelson, Grover, Mazie; and an infant sister.
The family will receive friends at the Mainstreet Church, 5465 Moline-Martin Rd, Walbridge, OH 43465 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Harris Elmore Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in Henry's name may be directed to Charity of Donor's Choice.
