Henry F. Sanford, 87, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2007, at Heartland of Oregon. He was born in Toledo, OH on April 25, 1920, to Robert and Theresa (Finch) Sanford. Henry was employed at Shoreline Railroad as a locomotive inspector for 41 years retiring in 1981. He was a member of Unity United Methodist Church, Independent Order of the Oddfellows, past Grand Chaplain of the Grand Lodge and a life member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. Surviving is his niece, Marie (Luther) Samson and several other nieces and nephews. Henry was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Mary Sanford; brother, Thomas Sanford and his parents. Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Sunday from 12 noon until 6 p.m. where funeral services will be conducted on Monday at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Toledo Memorial Park.
