Henry C Vernon passed away December 23rd after a valiant battle with cancer. Henry was born May 27, 1961 in Toledo, Ohio. After graduating from Bowsher High School Henry chose to enter the United States Marine Corps. He was extremely proud of his service to his country. After leaving the Marines Henry started work as a truck driver retiring from XPO (Conway) Logistics after 32 years of service.

Anyone that knew Henry knew that his motto was "I like anything with a big motor that goes fast." That included his cars, motorcycle and snowmobile. He was a true adventurer always up for the next thrill. Henry loved to travel that almost always included the ocean and riding a motorcycle. He always looked forward to camping trips with his grandsons. Henry was always a man with a project and a solution. He enjoyed a good margarita, Long Island iced tea or a craft beer at the end of the week.

Henry is survived by his other half (as he introduced her) Tina Rowe, son Joe (Shasta) Vernon, daughter Shannon (Dave) Durbrow, grandchildren Owen, Evan, Raina Vernon, Mariah, Annika, Weston Durbrow, mother Elsie Gerding, siblings Vella (Danny) Williams MaryAnn Vernon, special friends Bobby, Maggie Rowe and Ronnie Robeson. Preceded in death by father Henry Vernon II, sisters Charlotte and June Vernon.

Friends will be received Saturday, December 30 at Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, 440 S Coy Rd, Oregon, Oh from 12-7 pm. Promptly at 7 pm a service will begin to honor the man that we all were fortunate to have in our lives.
