Herben Harold Helle, 81, of Toledo, Ohio passed away April 19, 2004 in Flower Hospital. He was born in Curtice, Ohio on December 22, 1922 to Otto A. and Amelia (Burrow) Helle. Herb was an US Army Veteran, serving during World War II
in the Corp of Engineers. On February 19, 1955 Herb married his wife Martha who preceded him in death on September 27, 1997. He was employed by Toledo Scale as a foreman for 25 years and worked as a TV and Radio Repairman. Herb was a past member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in downtown Toledo, past treasurer of the
Luna Pier Christian Missionary Alliance, and currently a member of Holy Cross
Lutheran and was treasurer of the Toledo Scale Bowlers. His many hobbies included bowling, fishing, kite
flying, working as a handyman, gardening, and most of all spending time with his
grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are his children, Karen (Terry) Roloff, Ronald B. (Lynne), Roger L.(Shirley), Kenneth A., and Wilma A. Helle; 9 grandchildren, 11
great-grandchildren, and brothers, Reynold and Wilbert. He was preceded in death
by his parents; wife, Martha; son, Theodore A.; brother, Clarence; granddaughter, Amanda Leigh McCrae.
Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, Coy
Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, OH on Sunday from 1-9 p.m. where funeral services will be conducted on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Williston Cemetery.
