Hilda M. Niven, 88, of Northwood, OH passed away Sunday, July 10, 2005, in the Lutheran Home at Toledo. She was born in Calvert City, Kentucky on May 24, 1917, to Milen and Mae (Bowers) Edwards. Hilda was an RN when she had resided in Kentucky. She was a member of the Northwood Church of God and the widow of Donald M. Niven. Surviving are her daughters, Delores Norton and Alice (Dennis) Ebel; sisters, June Coates and Nina Tuggle; grandchildren, Dennis, Scott and Heather; great-grandchildren, Kaitlin and Austin, and many nieces and nephews. Hilda was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Ralph Edwards, and sister, Ruth Hayes. Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. at Starr Ave., on Monday, July 11, 2005 from 2-9 p.m. where funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Acacia Masonic Cemetery, Southfield Township, MI at 2 p.m. Memorial contributions in Hildas memory may be given to the American Diabetes Association.
