Hiram M. Crabtree Sr., 85, of Oregon, OH passed away September 7, 2006, in Bay Park Community Hospital. He was born in Moss, TN on September 2, 1921, to Marvin and Isabell (Head) Crabtree. Hiram had been employed by the Mather Metal Company as a machine operator and later owned and operated his own trucking business. Surviving are his wife, Barbara; sons, Hiram Jr. (Melissa), Lee, Ron, Jerry and Leon Crabtree; stepchildren, Perry Sharp and Terry Hughes and sister, Mabel Dyer. Hiram was preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters, Myrtle, Charles, Dollie, Walter and Garnet. Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Sunday from 2-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Monday, September 11, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. with interment following in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
