Obituary

Holly Marie Buffington, 48, of Curtice, Ohio, died peacefully, Tuesday, July 9, 2024, in Perrysburg, Ohio. Holly was born January 11, 1976 in Oregon, Ohio and graduated from Genoa High School in 1994. She was employed with Hardees on the Ohio Turnpike where she made the "best biscuits" and made numerous friendships. Holly was a dedicated volunteer with the Genoa Civic Theatre; serving as stage manager and assisting with backstage responsibilities for numerous productions. Holly loved animals; especially snakes, horses and dogs. She had an extensive collection of socks and Tasmanian Devil collectables, enjoyed Mountain Dew, eating peanut butter by the spoonful, and watching Little House on the Prairie. Holly loved watching NASCAR, cheering on her favorite driver, Tony Stewart. A country music fan at heart, Holly treasured listening to the music of her high school classmate, Rusty Van Sickle.

Holly is survived by her mother, Becky Buffington; sisters, Kelly, April, and Sara; aunts, Barbara (Patrick) Brocki, and Brenda (Guy) Clough; along with numerous cousins and loving family members. Preceded in death by her grandparents Jim and Peg Lentz.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, July 28, 2024 at the Genoa Civic Theatre, 509 Main Street, Genoa, where a celebration of life will continue until 5:00pm. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to Holly's family to distribute among her favorite charities. Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
