It is with profound sadness and immeasurable love that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, friend, and family matriarch, Hope Lee Morrin, who left this world on September 12, 2026, at the age of 87.

Born in Toledo, OH, Hope spent most of her life proudly rooted on the north end of the city she knew by heart. For generations of family, one place always felt like home: Grandma Hope's house. Every Sunday, without fail, family gathered around her table for meals, laughter, stories, and card games - whether euchre, Arizona poker, or whatever was dealt that day. The real reason everyone came was always her. Even on the night she passed, she was preparing her famous pigs in a blanket, the cherished family recipe of beef and cabbage simmered in sauce, ready for the next Sunday gathering. Taking care of her family was never an obligation; it was simply who she was.

Hope was also an avid reader for many years. She could often be found with a book in hand, enjoying the simple pleasure of getting lost in a good story. She also loved playing the lottery, especially scratch-off tickets and Cash Words, always enjoying the excitement of seeing if today might be her lucky day.

Hope was preceded in death by her beloved children, Donald (Judy) Morrin and Dede Rollins, losses that weighed heavily on her heart; her husband and lifelong friend, Donald Morrin, Sr.; her siblings, Billy Kelly and Bobby Heeter; and granddaughter, Ellen Eileen Arnold.

She is survived by her devoted children, Sue (Bill) Brown, Faith (Tim) Boyer, Ed (Peggy) Morrin, and Rose Dusseau; her 21 grandchildren, Robert (Heather) Campos, Tony (Melissa) Arnold, Christopher Morrin, Amber (Chuck) Myers, Josh (Patti) Collignon, Jennifer Fitzgerald, April Arnold, Angel Morrin, Megan Burtcher, Krystal (Derrick) Kinsey, Nicole (Kyle) Kantola, Eddie Morrin, Jessica (Ethan) Fitzgerald, Mark (Kim) Dusseau, Jacob Dusseau, James Morrin, Shannon Morrin, Michelle (James) Brown, Billy (Kandice) Brown, Colt Brown, and Eli Leal; 46 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her treasured lifelong friends, Rose, Jan, and Barb.

Those who knew her will remember a woman of strength, sharp wit, and deep kindness. She listened without judgment, made every person feel heard, and offered comfort without conditions. Her one-liners could stop a room - "Tables are for glasses, not for little asses" - and her honesty and humor filled every space she entered.

Our family has lost its matriarch, but her lessons remain - show up, stay connected, make the meal, send the card, listen more than you speak, love your family fiercely. She was the heart of our family, and she always will be.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 21, 2026, from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., where funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Restlawn Cemetery.
