Howard V. Beck Howard V. Beck 79, of Millbury, Ohio passed away Thursday, February 27, 2003 at St. Charles/Mercy Hospital. Howard was born in Toledo on September 17, 1923 to George and Susan (Vincent) Beck. He was a merchant marine veteran serving his country during WW II. Howard was retired from the former Gulf Oil Refinery after 35 years of service. He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church and a member of the Golden Gang Senior Group. Surviving are his children, Mark (Michelle) Beck of Millbury, Sharon (Roy) Kiersztyn of Gold Canyon, AZ, George Dennis (Cindy) Beck of Rochester, NY, and Bruce Beck of Toledo; grandchildren, Scott Kiersztyn of Seatle, WA, Nikki (Dave) Matthews of Mesa, AZ, Erin and Anthony Beck of Millbury, Savannah Beck of Rochester, NY. Hward was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Patricia Beck. Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston-Meinert Funeral Home, Woodville Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road, on Sunday from 3 to 7 pm. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:00 am in Calvary Lutheran Church, Northwood, where the family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Pastor Paul Reichert will be officiating.
