Howard H. Fouty
Howard H. Fouty, 90, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Friday, April 4, 2003 in Heartland of Oregon. Howard was born on September 17, 1912 to Henry and Emma (Henry) Fouty in Salem, Arkansas. He was a US Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the South Pacific. Mr. Fouty was the owner and operator of Fouty Excavating before his retirement in 1973. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Yondota
Lodge #572 F&AM and he was a 32nd degree mason, Dunberger American Legion Post and a life member of the International Brotherhood of Operating Engineers.
Surviving are his sons, Marion (Joyce) Fouty of Oregon, James (Marlene) Fouty of Oregon, Charles (Bernie)Fouty of Toledo, Richard Fouty of Toledo; stepchildren, Patricia (Jack) Harris of Fairfield, MT, John Donovan of Belfair, WA, Chuck Donovan of Livingston, MT, Phyllis (Allen) Williamson of Missoula, MT; 18 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Velma (Punches) Fouty, and his second wife of 17 years, Betty (Donovan) Fouty; grandson, Douglas Fouty and granddaughter, Amie Sue Fouty.
Funeral services will be conducted by his great grandson Kenneth L. Fouty II of Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus, Ohio on Tuesday, April 8, 2003 at 10:30 am in the Eggleston-Meinert Funeral Home, Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road at Starr Avenue, where visitation will be Sunday from 4 to 9 pm and Monday from 2 to 9 pm. Yondota Lodge services will be Monday at 7:30 pm.
Interment will be inOttawa Hills Memorial Park. The family suggest memorial contributions be made toChirst United Methodist Church Building Fund, Heartland Hospice or the charity of the donor's choice.
